What is HoopLix?

How do I turn game film into a tactical animation?
Three steps. Smart Clip finds the plays: it auto-cuts the offense–defense possessions out of your game tape. Initialize Key Frames places every player on the play and projects their movement onto a clean 2D court. Then edit the animation and export it — overlaid on the original video, or as a brand-new flat tactical-board animation.
Is HoopLix free?
Yes — HoopLix is free during the beta. The Early Access plan includes 2 GB of storage, 1 Smart Clip + 5 Tactical Studio runs per month, and up to 3 AI runs per day. Standard ($9.99/mo) and Pro ($29.99/mo) plans open after launch, and every new account starts with a free Welcome Pack of extra runs.
Do I need special cameras or equipment?
No. HoopLix works with ordinary game video — regular broadcast-style footage is all it needs. There are no sensors, no wearables and nothing to install on the court.
What is Smart Clip and what does it cost?
Smart Clip is HoopLix's free desktop app for Windows and macOS. Its AI watches your footage and automatically isolates each offensive possession into its own clip — no dead air, no timeouts, no commentary — with frame-accurate trimming and batch export. It's free to download; you sign in with your HoopLix account to run the AI.
Which leagues and court types are supported?
HoopLix is court-aware for NBA, NCAA (college), FIBA (international) and high-school courts — both when Smart Clip cuts possessions and when Tactical Studio projects the play onto the 2D court.
Can I use HoopLix on my phone?
Yes — sign in from your phone's browser to browse your Drive and to chat and share files in your team clubs. Editing in Tactical Studio and Smart Note is built for a desktop browser, where the tactical tools have room to work.
Can I share my breakdowns with my team?
Yes. Create a private club for your team — members get chat, shared files, and posts for clips and images from your library. Finished animations export as regular MP4 files you can drop into any team chat, film session or social channel.
Is my footage private?
Yes — everything you upload stays in your private cloud storage and is visible only to you unless you choose to share it. Club posts stay inside the club, and shared-clip pages are kept out of search-engine indexes.
How do I get access during the beta?
HoopLix is currently in an invite-only beta. Request access with your email and we'll send you a single-use invite code as spots open; if you already have a code, you can sign up right away.
